LUCAS OIL
In July 2023, Isaac climbed into a race car for the very first time at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with the Lucas Oil School of Racing. What began as a simple test quickly became a turning point as his performance impressed, earning him a two-day follow-up test at Sebring International Raceway. That test led to Isaac’s race debut at the same track, where he kept his composure in a race of attrition and crossed the finish line with his first-ever podium.
Riding that momentum into 2024, Isaac embarked on his first full season in the Lucas Oil Formula Car Series Championship. It all began at the Winter Shootout in Miami, a special event offering drivers the chance to earn $20,000 in season funding. Isaac started strong, finishing P3 – just less than a second from victory. But the weekend brought challenges: a crash, a mechanical DNF, and a last place start in the final race. Though luck wasn’t on his side, Isaac’s speed and spirit left no doubt behind. He had the pace and potential to be a championship contender.
The season officially began in June 2024 at Autobahn Country Club, where Isaac once again proved his consistency, finishing P3, P2, and P4 through several days of tough, wet-weather racing.
In Round 2 at Mid-Ohio, the same track where his journey began, Isaac achieved a milestone moment – his first-ever formula car victory. He followed that with a P3 finish, and although an off-track excursion led to a penalty in the final race, the weekend marked a defining step forward.
Rounds 3 and 4 tested him further, with P2 and P3 finishes at NCM and his first event off the podium in North Carolina. Even through adversity, Isaac’s resilience and learning kept him 3rd in the championship standings heading into the Sebring season finale.
At Sebring, Isaac delivered his most complete performance yet. He set fastest laps, led multiple races, and fought to the line, finishing on the podium in 2 of 3 races, just tenths away from victory.
That weekend sealed Isaac’s place as one of the most promising young talents in the paddock, finishing 3rd overall in the championship – an incredible result for his first full season in cars.
Every lap, every setback, every finish has fueled his hunger to grow. From his first test to the championship podium, Isaac’s story is just beginning, and the best is still ahead.
