In March 2023, thanks to his mentor Jim Guthrie – a former INDYCAR race winner, Isaac was given the chance to test a Spec Miata at his local track, Suika Circuit. His pace and confidence immediately stood out, earning him the opportunity to race alongside Jim in local competition.

That season, Isaac achieved a milestone moment by winning his first-ever race, triumphing over his mentor in an unforgettable finish. By year’s end, he secured 2nd place in the championship, proving he had the skill and determination to go far.

Isaac continues to race locally with Jim, now driving a car sponsored by the American Legion, and has already earned multiple victories this year. What began as a test quickly became a foundation – a partnership built on mentorship, growth, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.
